HOLLAND (WHTC) - Two Zeeland schools and one each in the Holland, West Ottawa and Saugatuck districts are ranked among the top 5 percent of schools in the state of Michigan, according to the state Department of Education. Quincy Elementary School and the former Innoacademy in Zeeland, Holland Heights Elementary in Holland, Waukazoo Elementary in West Ottawa and Douglas Elementary School in the Saugatuck district have been named Reward Schools for their performance, based on student test scores. There are 286 reward schools in Michigan. The Innoacademy is being by Z-Quest, a new year-round school that will be housed at Roosevelt Elementary School. Parents Thursday night had a chance to learn more about Z-Quest at an open house at Roosevelt. About 90 students are already enrolled there.
