LANSING (WHTC) - Ottawa County Parks will move ahead with construction of a 1,300-foot-long walkway along Lake Macatawa, while Laketown Township will develop a picnic area, soccer field and ball diamond next to the township hall, thanks to grants from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. Governor Snyder today signed legislation authorizing nearly $38 million in trust fund grants to support recreation and land acquisition projects across the state. Ottawa County got a $300,000 grant for the walkway project, while Laketown Township will get $50,000 for the township hall park project.
