HUDSONVILLE (WHTC) - Three teenagers from Hudsonville are in big trouble with the law. Ottawa County authorities say a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds have been arrested in connection with a series of home invasions and thefts from motor vehicles that may go as far back as last December. Lt. Mark Bennett of the Sheriff’s Department says the suspects may be linked to five home invasions and possibly as many 50 larcenies from motor vehicles. The 17-year-old was arrested over the weekend following a reported break-in at the East Town Apartments in Georgetown Township. The two 16-year-olds fled that area, but were picked up later. Bennett says the suspects would usually enter unlocked vehicles and take change and small electronics, while in the home invasion cases, they would enter attached garages and remove items from those locations. About $2,000 of stolen property has been recovered, including iPods and pocket watches. One of the 16-year-olds is being held at the Ottawa County youth home, the other suspects are free pending further investigation.
