ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A preliminary examination slated today for Jeffery Robert Witt in Allegan District Court has been postponed until May 10^th. The 45-year-old Plainwell man is accused of strangling his 38-year-old girlfriend Amy Kortokrax Hartman during an apparent domestic dispute two weeks ago in theGrant Street home that they had shared. In court documents, the victim’s 17-year-old son told investigators that he had heard some loud talking between the two several hours before authorities were called to the residence. Ms. Hartman’s funeral was eight days ago in Otsego.
