LOS ANGELES (WTAQ) - Legendary broadcaster Dick Clark is dead at the age of 82.
TMZ.com reports that Clark died Tuesday from a massive heart attack.
Clark may be best known as the host of the long-running "American Bandstand" television show. Clark also hosted "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve" for many years.
Clark rarely appeared on television after suffering a stroke in 2004 which impacted his speech.
Richard Wagstaff "Dick" Clark was born November 30, 1929 in Mount Vernon, New York.
He started his career in broadcasting at a radio station in Utica, New York as a weatherman and news announcer.
