UNDATED (WHTC) - Brandon Inge’s two-run homer in the fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie, and Justin Verlander scattered seven hits while striking out nine in a complete-game pitching performance, as the Tigers won at Kansas City last night, 3-2. The series in Kauffman Stadium continues this evening, with broadcast time on 1450 WHTC at 7:45.

The Cubs open up a series in Miami against the Marlins this evening.

Matt Wieters slugged a pair of homers, including a grand slam in the 10th inning to cap a six-run rally, as visiting Baltimore beat the White Sox last night, 10-4. The series at US Cellular Field in Chicago continues this evening.
