COMSTOCK PARK, MI (WHTC News) - The Midwest League season ended only nine days ago for the West Michigan Whitecaps, and the Tigers’ Class A affiliate is already looking ahead to next spring. Fans coming to Fifth Third Ballpark in 2012 will see new signage on US-131, a new state-of-the-art video board in center field, an old-school manually-operated scoreboard in left field, and other electronic improvements. The seven-figure investment comes in part through a 10-year extension between the team and Fifth Third Bank over naming rights to the facility.
