DETROIT (WKZO) -- Ford Motor Company has dropped in Consumer Reports reliability rankings, however Chrysler is on the rise.

According to officials, Ford took a hit due to troubles with the Explorer, Focus and Fiesta.  Chrysler on the other hand climbed in the rankings and is now considered the most reliable of the American brands.  General Motors held steady in its spot.

Consumer Reports' annual reliability rankings are well-regarded in the industry and among car buyers.
