DETROIT (WKZO) -- An 84-year-old man is under arrest after Michigan State Police troopers find 104-bricks of cocaine in his truck during a routine traffic stop. Leo Sharp was charged Sunday in a federal criminal complaint with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.
According to an affidavit from DEA agents, Sharp was pulled over around 5:30 Friday evening on eastbound I-94 near Chelsea for improper lane use and following too closely. The trooper asked to search the truck, but Sharp declined. A police dog was brought to the scene and found the presence of narcotics in the rear of the vehicle.
According to the affidavit the contents of the bricks field tested positive for cocaine.
