TALLMADGE TWP., MI (WHTC News) - Two teens from Marne suffered serious injuries on Friday afternoon when the car in which they were passengers in was rearended. Authorities say that 50-year-old Beverly Ann Gibson of Walker was driving southbound on 8th Avenue near Johnson Street in Tallmadge Township when she rammed another car ahead of her that was stopped, waiting for traffic to clear in order to turn into a private driveway. The force of the collision pinned 14-year-olds Richard Rutledge and Jase Huisken, and they were taken to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital, along with the driver, Rutledge’s 16-year-old brother Riley. Another passenger in their car wasn’t hurt, while Gibson and a two-year-old girl in her vehicle suffered bumps and bruises. The incident remains under investigation.
