DETROIT (WKZO) -- Michigan transportation projects are getting more than 46-million dollars in federal funding.

In announcing the grants, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said that strengthening and modernizing Michigan's transit systems will generate thousands of construction-related jobs and put more money in the pockets of working Americans.  The Michigan grants are among more than 300 totaling 930-million announced across the country.
