GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC News) - No charges will be filed stemming from stray bullets that struck a contractor working outside of a house near the North Ottawa Rod and Gun Club in Grand Haven Township two weeks ago. GVSU campus police were firing rounds at the outdoor range off of 160th Avenue at the time. A number of homes in the Cutter Park subdivision were also struck. The Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office says there wasn’t enough evidence to blame the shooting on careless behavior. The club had closed the range pending the prosecutor’s decision.
