EGLESTON (WKZO) -- A Michigan man will be spending a few months behind bars for letting his sweet tooth get the best of him after a few too many drinks. Egleston Township resident Jeremy Allen Baldwin entered a no contest plea last Thursday to a felony charge of breaking and entering with intent.Baldwin had been drinking "whiskey and beer all night" on April 24th when he broke into an ice cream store and took a three-gallon drum of lemon chiffon ice cream. Police followed a trail of ice cream splatter and came across the missing tub and Baldwin's cell phone.Authorities also found Baldwin's shoes and wallet in the area. The 23-year-old man reportedly copped to having a drinking problem and said he probably blacked out.According to the "Muskegon Chronicle," the judge has agreed to cap Baldwin's jail sentence at six months. He is due back in court for sentencing on October 31st.
