LANSING (WKZO) -- Five people are arrested for allegedly conducting a human trafficking operation in the state.
Attorney General Bill Schuette says Mustaffa Muhammad, Jason Sherrill and Rita Jemison of Detroit,Tara Muhammad of Chesterfield Township and Brooklyn Siebert of Warren are the alleged organizers of the "Detroit Pink," a prostitution ring that was advertised as an on-line escort service.
It is alleged that photographs of approximately two dozen prostitutes were posted on various websites saying the girls were available for "dates," at rates of 300-dollars per hour. The five people arrested are each charged with multiple felonies including human trafficking, pandering, prostitution and racketeering.
