LANSING (WKZO) -- Health insurance policies sold in Michigan would not be allowed to offer coverage for abortions under legislation being reviewed by a state senate committee.  If passed, the law would allow abortion coverage to be available only by purchasing an additional rider with a separate premium.Senate Health Policy Committee Chair Jim Marleau says, "These measurers will ensure unborn life will be protected under all health insurance options that are offered to Michigan residents."
