LANSING (WKZO) -- Industry experts say sales of live Christmas trees are expected to rise this holiday season, mainly because of more disposable income and an extra week to sell trees.  Michigan ranks third in the nation in the number of fresh trees harvested, behind Oregon and North Carolina.  There are nearly 700 Michigan Christmas tree growers who sell nearly three-million trees annually, about ten-percent of all sales nationwide.
