SOUTHGATE (WKZO) -- A 60-year-old grandmother is reportedly injured during a brawl at a downriver Chuck E. Cheese restaurant. The alleged attack happened during a birthday party for Carol Brown's two grandchildren, ages three and five on Saturday night.
Brown and her family say that an unruly group of unattended children next to them was stealing birthday cake and trinkets, so they asked the adults in that party to control their kids. The other party did attend to the kids, but overheard a disparaging remark made by Brown, after which they allegedly attacked her in front of the performance stage, in front of the entire restaurant.
Brown says she sustained head, neck and back injuries after being hit on the side of the head and choked. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Brown's son-in-law Steven Olschanski Senior was the only person arrested for allegedly making a scene. He was released from jail a few hours later.
