ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A Holland teenager is dead after a crash near Zeeland, and an elderly driver may face charges. Authorities say 73-year-old Jerome Hitsman drove his pickup through a stop sign at New Holland Street and 96th Avenue on Friday morning, broadsiding 18-year-old Danielle Clouse’s car. She succumbed from her injuries at Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital. Hitsman and an unnamed 10-year-old riding in his truck were treated for non-life threatening injuries at ZCH. The prosecutor’s office will review the case to determine whether charges are filed.
