by
Milwaukee Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers

ATLANTA (TSN-WSAU) The Brewers offense continues to struggle, as the team dropped its third straight on Monday night. Jair Jurrjens allowed just two runs in 7 2/3 innings and Alex Gonzalez knocked in three as the Atlanta Braves bested the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-2, in the opener of a four-game set from Turner Field.

Jurrjens (3-0) gave up seven hits and fanned four for the win.

Gonzalez, in addition to dazzling with his glove, went 2-for-4 and scored a run. David Ross belted a home run, his third in the last two games.

Yovani Gallardo (2-2) suffered the loss by allowing nine hits and five runs in five-plus frames for the Brewers, who have dropped three in a row,

Yuniesky Betancourt accounted for both of Milwaukee's runs with a two-out triple in the top of the fourth.

The Brewers and Braves play again Tuesday night. Broadcast coverage begins at 5:35pm on AM-550 FM-99.9 WSAU.
