SCHENECTADY, New York (Reuters) - Seven state workers on Thursday were awarded the $319 million jackpot that they won in last week's Mega Millions lottery.
"'The Albany Seven' are all co-workers at the New York Division of Housing and Community Renewal," said a lottery spokeswoman at a news conference with the winners.
The three women and four men, all residents of upstate New York, beamed for the cameras as they awaited their turn at the microphone.
Five of the workers are IT specialists and two are project managers, the lottery spokeswoman said.
