(Detroit, MI) -- The United Auto Workers union is expecting General Motors to recall the last two-thousand workers it has laid off in September. UAW official Joe Ashton said yesterday at the union's bargaining convention in Detroit they will have full employment in September "for the first time in a long time." Once the remaining union workers are back on the job, GM can start making new hires, with those employees coming on for half of the wage of existing union employees.
