HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC News) - While funeral services are planned for one 18-year-old Zeeland man, another 18-year-old Zeeland man was formally charged in his death.
Joshua Hambley appeared in Hudsonville District Court via video linkup with the Ottawa County Jail, where he remains held without bond. He faces one count of open murder, as authorities claim that he killed Jonathan Dargis, whose body was found last Friday afternoon in a wooded area behind the Maple View Estates mobile home park off of Chicago Drive. An autopsy revealed that Dargis died from a number of stab wounds and blows to the head.
Hambley requested a court-appointed attorney as a March 10th date for a preliminary examination was set. Services for Dargis are slated for tomorrow morning at Faith Reformed Church in Zeeland, with visitation today at Lakeshore Memorial Services on James Street in Holland Township.
