SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC News) - A 49-year-old Indianapolis man has been arraigned on federal charges stemming from the hold up of a South Haven area bank last Saturday.
Authorities apprehended Jetson Lawrence Bryant minutes after he allegedly robbed the Chemical Bank branch on M-43, recovering a handgun, an undisclosed amount of money, and a note he reportedly handed a teller demanding the cash. Bryant allegedly not only admitted to this crime, but to 17 other robberies in New York and Indiana, and that he was a "Robin Hood Bandit" for giving his loot to those in need.
Bryant is jailed on 150 thousand dollars bond.
