GRAND RAPIDS, MI (Metro Source) - State House Democrats are pushing to get cuts to K-12 education restored by Governor Rick Snyder. The minority party in the state Legislature held a series of press conferences yesterday around the state to put pressure on Republicans. House Representative Brandon Dillon of Grand Rapids said that in his hometown, four Grand Rapids Public School buildings will have to close and 136 people will lose their jobs due to the cuts.
