ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC News) - A proposed 19 million-dollar student private housing project near the Grand Valley State University campus in Allendale was shot down by the township board last night. Campus Crest Communities had wanted to build a 248-unit, 648-bed complex on nearly 15 acres near 48^th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive. Township planners had endorsed its blueprints, but the board agreed with opponents who raised density questions.
