UNDATED (WHTC News) - Cracking down on drink driving have been a staple of holiday enforcement efforts … but the highway isn’t the only place where the minions of the law will be keeping their eyes open for those who had one too many. Operation Dry Water is tomorrow along the Lakeshore and across the country, as U.S. Coast Guard seamen will join with local officers and deputies in seeking inebriated pilots. This is the third year of this program, with 15 drunken boaters busted n Ottawa County during the 2010 surveillance, more than double the seven written up in the initial crackdown.
