DETROIT, MI (Metro Source) - The Nigerian national known as "The Underwear Bomber" has been shown pictures of the injuries he reportedly sustained when he allegedly tried to blow up a Detroit-bound plane on Christmas Day 2009. Prosecutors turned over this new evidence to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab in advance of a Friday deadline. Abdulmutallab's legal advisor has requested more time to review the new evidence and wants to postpone the suspect's trial.  Prosecutors say there is no need to delay Abdulmutallab's scheduled October 4th trial.
