DETROIT, MI (Metro Source) - The attorney for the so-called Underwear Bomber wants the October trial of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab delayed. The Nigerian man allegedly tried to blow up a jet bound for Detroit on Christmas Day 2009 and is scheduled for trial on October 4th. Attorney Anthony Chambers filed court documents yesterday saying more time is needed to prepare the defense after federal prosecutors gave him a "considerable amount of evidence." Chambers said he has not been able to meet with his client because he's been working on a corruption trial in the Virgin Islands.
