BRADLEY, MI (WHTC News) - Officials of the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians are downplaying a federal lawsuit that was allowed to go forward on the same day that the tribe announced a February 11th opening for its casino in Bradley. Former Wayland Township trustee David Patchak, a long-time opponent of the gaming house, wants to scuttle the project in the courts, saying that placing the land on 129th Street in trust for the tribe was illegal. Tribal officials call the litigation "frivolous" and plan to open the facility off of US-131 south of Wayland as scheduled.
