BRADLEY, MI (WHTC News) - Officials of the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians are downplaying a federal lawsuit that was allowed to go forward on the same day that the tribe announced a February 11^th opening for its casino in Bradley. Former Wayland Township trustee David Patchak, a long-time opponent of the gaming house, wants to scuttle the project in the courts, saying that placing the land on 129^th Street in trust for the tribe was illegal. Tribal officials call the litigation "frivolous" and plan to open the facility off of US-131 south of Wayland as scheduled.
