HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC News) - Ottawa County Health Department officials today are following in the footsteps that their colleagues in Allegan County made 10 days ago in stating that a late summer check of establishments showed 100 percent compliance with the statewide smoke-free air law enacted last May. The findings indicated that no ashtrays or smoking paraphernalia were seen, and that there have been very few complaints registered. Results from a more recent survey conducted in November are pending. Statewide, 95 percent of establishments polled were complying with the new law.
