(Detroit, MI)  --  The emergency financial manager of the Detroit Public Schools wants to close half of the buildings in the district and greatly increase class size.  Robert Bobb's plan to get rid of a 327 million-dollar deficit proposes class sizes of up to 62 students and cutting at least 249 jobs.  Bobb said the plan will pull the district out of the red by 2014 and assumes losing 20 thousand more students over the next two years.  He said the plan is a worst-case scenario and added he's working to get approval for other ideas from the state.
