(Lansing, MI) -- Governor Rick Snyder wants Michiganders to put political differences aside and come together for the good of the state. In his inaugural address, Snyder said quote, "it's time to stop fighting among ourselves" and added party and geography need to be put aside to "reinvent Michigan. The Republican, who is a political newcomer, warned it "won't be simple or easy" in a 13-minute speech on the steps of the state Capitol on Saturday and said getting the state back on track will require shared sacrifice from everyone. Snyder succeeded Jennifer Granholm, whose time in office ended due to term limits at noon Saturday after eight years in office.
