Maryvale, AZ. (WHBL-Learfield) - The Milwaukee Brewers will open their exhibition baseball schedule today with a pair of split-squad games in Arizona. Shaun Marcum will get the start with the team that plays San Francisco on the Brewers’ home facility in Phoenix. The rest of the Brewers will play at the Chicago Cubs’ camp in Mesa. Right-handed reliever Tim Dillard will start against the Cubbies. Yesterday, the Brewers played their traditional inter-squad game on the eve of the exhibition season. Shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt homered. Prince Fielder lumbered for a bunt single and he told reporters not to be surprised to see it during the regular season. Right-fielder Corey Hart felt tightness in his left side while working out on Saturday. There’s nothing bruised or torn, but Hart expects to be out for a couple of days. Pitcher Mark Rogers signed a one-year contract yesterday. And that leaves third baseman Casey McGehee as the only Brewer who’s not under a contract yet for 2011.
