DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Ford Motor Company is recalling nearly 281-thousand F-150 pickup trucks because of a problem with door handles on the vehicles. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says in the event of a crash, the door handle spring can fail, causing the door latch to open.
Ford says there have been no accidents or injuries related to the problem. Drivers should return 2009 and 2010 F-150s to Ford dealerships if they notice the door handle is loose or fails to return to a stowed position. The F-150 is the best-selling pickup truck in the U.S.
