A new national survey ranks the Holland/Grand Haven area as the second fastest-growing job market in the country. The Milken Institute surveyed the nation’s 200 largest metro areas in terms of economic development and job creation. Holland/Grand Haven ranked second nationally in terms of job growth for the year 2009-2010, according to that survey. Only the Kennwick-Richland-Pasco area in Washington State saw greater job growth than the Lakeshore area. Overall, Holland/Grand Haven jumped up 51 spots in the Milken survey from 199 to 148, while the Grand Rapids/Wyoming area gained 20 spots from 179 to 159.
