LANSING (WKZO) -- Drivers throughout the Midwest are being warned now--a crackdown on drunken driving is on the way for the holiday weekend.

Drivers are being targeted as part of a nationwide campaign to get drunk drivers off the road leading up to this holiday weekend.  The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Labor Day crackdown is being organized by the Governors Highway Safety Association and state highway agencies.

Over ten-thousand law enforcement agencies nationwide are taking part.  The campaign is already in effect and runs through September 5th.  They have information for anyone interested online at StopImpairedDriving.org.
