LAKETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC News) - Searchers return to the waters of Lake Michigan off of Saugatuck Dunes State Park this morning in what is now a recovery effort for two men from the other side of the state. Authorities fear that the unnamed 46-year-old and 22-year-old men had drowned when they were pulled under by high waves and a strong undertow yesterday afternoon. Two others who initially tried to rescue the pair about 50 yards from shore had to turn back safely. Rough conditions prevented the use of sonar and other high-tech devices in the search.
