(Lansing, MI)  --  Republican Rick Snyder continues to be the favorite among Michigan voters for governor.  The "Detroit Free Press" reports the latest poll, conducted by East Lansing's Mitchell Research & Communication gives Snyder a 53-to-26 percent lead over Democratic nominee Virgil Bernero.  Snyder leads 61-to-23 percent among male voters and 46-to-28 percent among women.  The Ann Arbor businessman is trying to become the first Republican governor in Michigan since John Engler was term-limited out of office eight years ago.
