(Allegan, MI - WHTC News) - Days after a Labador Retriever that had been abused by a man at a Dorr Township home two years ago had died, sentencing is slated today for a 32-year-old Allegan man who mistreated a similar dog this spring. Kristopher Hall pleaded guilty to an attempted killing or torturing an animal charge in a deal with prosecutors. His dog ended with trauma to the right eye and a busted jaw, and Hall was arrested when he was seen tossing the animal into a swampy area in Trowbridge Township. In the earlier case, Chance succumbed last week from kidney complications stemming from when antifreeze was poured down his throat.
