(Detroit, MI) -- A senior al-Qaida leader is calling for Muslims living in metro Detroit to commit terrorist attacks in the U.S. In a 48-minute recording released on Saturday, Adam Gadahn called upon Muslims living in "the miserable suburbs of Paris, London, Detroit" to attack Americans. Gadahn cited the November shootings at Fort Hood, Texas and the Christmas Day attempted bombing of a jetliner landing at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Detroit, which has a sizable Muslim population, was the only American city mentioned by the al-Qaida leader.
