MUNCIE, Ind. (WIBQ) - New ISU head coach Greg Lansing saw his Sycamores lose their third straight game Wednesday evening in Muncie against Ball State. The Sycamores (1-3) got out to an early first half lead, but the Cardinals were able to tie the game at 29 by halftime.
The second half started out well for ISU, but Ball State exploded with help from guard Jauwan Scaife, who finished with 24 points on the night. The Cardinals shot 62% from the field in the second half, where ISU struggled at only 42%.
Indiana State's Carl Richard led the way with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Dwayne Lathan and Jake Kelly also scored double digit points.
The Sycamores are on the road yet again Saturday as they travel to Oral Roberts. The game will be televised by WTWO-TV, with a scheduled 8:05pm tipoff.
