LANSING (WKZO) - Fresh back from a trip to Europe Governor Granholm hung around Michigan just long enough to see how the election turned out, and now she plans to hit the road again today, this time heading east.

Granholm will head off to South Korea Wednesday for a three day trip. While there, she says she intends to focus on growing the state's advanced battery manufacturing industry. She'll be meeting with executives from lithium-ion battery supplier LG Chem, the company that last year announced they'd drop over 300-million dollars on a new battery plant that's now under construction in Holland.

She's also expected to meet with executives from SB LiMotive, another battery company, and W-Scope, a firm that provides materials for the battery industry. This will be the 12th overseas investment mission the governor will have made and it's expected to be her last.
