(Holland, MI - WHTC News) - Gas prices are confounding the pundits and delighting motorists along the Lakeshore. This morning’s survey of Holland area stations showed an average cost for a gallon of self-serve regular standing at $2.64 – nearly three dimes less than two weeks ago, 16 cents higher than last year’s lows, and far less than the $4.04 and $3.54 marks seen in 2008 and 2007. All this comes despite fears of spikes in the wake of the Gulf oil spill.
