(Canoga Park, CA) -- A Zeeland woman, who recently moved to California, was shot to death yesterday in Long Beach. Reports from California police say Ivy Bodkins' body was discovered in the parking structure of her condo complex with a single gunshot wound to the head. Bodkins' estranged husband, Donovan Morris, allegedly shot his wife and was killed a short while later by Los Angeles Police when he refused to drop his weapon in a electronics store parking lot. Apparently the couple were going through a divorce and Bodkins had been issued a restraining order, alleging domestic violence.
The couple leaves behind a two-year-old son, and family members in Zeeland say that they hope to adopt him next week. Kalin Morris and a stepsister of Bodkins, who were inside of the apartment building where the murder took place, were unhurt.
