(Holland, MI - WHTC News) - More steps in getting a second lithium-ion battery-making plant in Holland were taken yesterday. The city closed on an 810 thousand-dollar purchase of 50 acres just on the other side of the city limits with Fillmore Township, with two hearings on annexing the land set for March 24th. A subsidiary of LG Chem hopes to have the factory there up and running by 2013; JCI/Saft looks to have its plant in operation later this year.
