(Detroit, MI) -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has been released on a ten-thousand dollar bond after being arraigned Tuesday. Kilpatrick is facing probation violation charges for not paying enough court-ordered restitution. His lawyers tried to have the judge in the case removed to no avail. Kilpatrick said he would pay the restitution, quote, "if I had the money." He said after Tuesday's hearing he stays up at night trying to figure out how to pay the rest of the one-million-dollars in restitution he owes the city as part of a plea deal.
