(Holland Twp., MI - WHTC News) - A nearly two-week-long ban on swimming in Lake Macatawa off of Dunton Park in Holland Township was lifted by Ottawa County Health Department yesterday. Tests showed E. coli levels were at acceptable safe limits after heavy rains over the Memorial Day holiday apparently washed enough bacteria into the waters at that site. A small sewer overflow at the same time some distance away into Lake Mac wasn’t a factor.
