KINROSS -- A mass murderer from Muskegon was shot to death during a bold but botched prison escape from a state prison yesterday.
Seth Privacki and two other convicted murderers high jacked a semi and tried to drive it through the outer fences at the Kinross Correctional Facility in Northern Michigan, but like a big net, the fence held. Two of the escapees surrendered, but Privacki would not stop and was shot.
He had been in prison since his teenaged years, when he killed his parents, his grandfather, and a brother and his girlfriend as they got ready to sit down for Thanksgiving dinner in 1998.
He pled no contest never explaining why he did it. We will never know why he tried this either.
