SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development released the local unemployment numbers Wednesday.
The numbers were relatively stable as the City of Sheboygan’s rate did not change from November to December, however Sheboygan County’s rate increased slightly. The City’s rate held steady at 10.9% for December, with the County checking in at 8.5%. The County’s number is an increase of a tenth of a percent.
Both the City and County are still generating unemployment rates higher than a year ago when the City was at 7.7% and the County had a rate of 5.8%.
