(Detroit, MI)  --  Microsoft and the state of Michigan are teaming up to give free technology training.  Lieutenant Governor John Cherry made the announcement Tuesday, saying the initiative will train displaced workers and current students to find internships and permanent jobs.  The state will receive 71-thousand vouchers for the online training.  Michigan has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs in recent years, and Governor Granholm has tried to focus efforts on retraining state residents for new careers outside of the manufacturing industry.
